Kim Williams has spent more than 40 years in the world of beauty, wellness, plants, bodywork, yoga, and healing — but her path did not begin in a classroom or a boardroom. It began in real life, between cultures, traditions, kitchens, gardens, treatment rooms, and conversations with people who understood plants, the body, and the old ways of healing.
Growing up, Kim learned from her granny about plants, herbs, natural remedies, and the simple wisdom of working with what grows around you. Later, living and working between different cultures, she continued learning from people who carried their own plant traditions — including Arab herbal knowledge, old-world beauty rituals, and the deep relationship between plants, food, fragrance, skin, and wellbeing.
Her work took her around the world, from beauty and spa environments to hands-on healing spaces, helping create and develop wellness experiences across different countries and cultures. Along the way, she studied yoga, Ayurveda, natural skincare, permaculture, plant medicine, and the connection between the nervous system, the earth, and everyday wellbeing.
When Covid left Kim unexpectedly rooted in New York, she started again. What began as a small shop became Shanti Life — a place where everything she had gathered over a lifetime finally came together: plants, movement, beauty, community, conversation, hemp wellness, yoga, and practical tools for living with more balance and intention.
From there, Woke Botanicals was born: Kim’s cold-pressed hemp and botanical wellness line, created from her belief that plants should be respected, kept as close to nature as possible, and used with care. Today, Shanti Life continues to evolve — from the original shop to Woke Botanicals, the yoga studio, the wellness collective, and the vision for a future dispensary rooted in education, community, and plant wisdom.
